At least seven people were killed when a single-engine jet crashed onto a road at the Shoreham Airshow in the United Kingdom today, British police said. The Shoreham Airshow has cancelled its Sunday show. It hit several cars as it crashed.
- Seven died and one person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, said Liz Spiers, Communications Manager with the South East Coast Ambulance Service Foundation NHS Trust.
- Police described the plane as a “historic military jet” and said it crashed at about 1:20 p.m. local time onto a busy main road in Sussex.
