Sam Smith speaks again following vocal cord surgery

SAM SMITH is officially off vocal rest, three weeks after undergoing vocal cord surgery. Following the surgery, Smith was placed on strict vocal rest, using a special voice app to communicate while he healed. The vocal trouble prompted Smith to scrap his tour of Australia and Asia and cancel a slew of concert dates in late April and early May , but the Grammy winner also announced on Wednesday that he is heading Down Under to make up for the axed gigs.
