Clowney returned to practice August 17 after a lengthy recovery from microfracture surgery. Clowney tried to play in three other regular season games, before deciding to have the season-ending surgery in early December. Texans coach Bill O’Brien said Wednesday that Clowney continues to make daily progress and should be ready for the Week 1 game on September 13.
