Bolt gets taken out by Segway after win

While soaking in the adoration of the crowd after a race win at worlds, Usain Bolt was accidentally taken down from behind by a clumsy cameraman riding a Segway. Bolt was at the Bird’s Nest when the cameraman hit a metal rail on the side of the track, causing him to veer into the Jamaican athlete. Usain Bolt is wiped out by a cameraman on a Segway moments after successfully defending his 200m world title.

 

 

  • The Segway-rider hit Bolt in the legs and both men fell backward onto the track.
  • The 10-times world champion did not appear badly injured by the incident, managed to see the funny side and was soon posing for pictures with his adoring crowd again.
  • Bolt streaked clear of his sprint rival to complete another double at the World Athletics Championships and when he was celebrating with the crowd an overzealous cameraman got too close for comfort, lost control of his Segway and swept the Jamaican off his feet.
